What is the Social Strand?
A key objective of the sessions was to focus on nurturing collaboration, new network and friendships amongst young people and teachers involved in music making in Scotland.
During the four days of Super Strings Sessions, the children and young people worked in groups, learnt from one another, took part in a range of games, musical activities and general socialising. It was fantastic to see the young people from all across the country, crafting new relationships and creating memories with their new string playing companions.
A singalong to make you smile
During the Super Strings Sessions there was always time for a bit of a singalong (with some dancing, of course). It was a great way for the young people to let their hair down and have some fun together. Here's a wee snippet from our Aberdeen Sessions, where we were having a great time singing about the mountains.
