Anne was born in Huddersfield where she grew up with a deaf brother and sister in a musical family. This experience has given her a strong belief that music should be accessible to all. She played piano and clarinet and, after completing a music degree at Aberdeen University, worked as a woodwind instructor for Aberdeen City Music Service for many years. Following a year in Orkney she moved to Dundee and started work as a Communication Support Worker for Deaf students. She is delighted to be working for Big Noise in a role that brings together the two major strands in her life; music and British Sign Language.
